Wachtmuziek
Als rasechte jazzliefhebbers hebben we de bescheiden, edoch nobele intentie om de mensen, die ons contacteren, in contact te brengen met jazz. En dit via de wachtmuziek van onze telefooncentrale.
Op dit ogenblik hoort u, wanneer u telefonisch doorverbonden wordt, het nummer Another Day van Buckshot LeFonque. Enige uitleg over dit nummer treft u hieronder aan.
Buckshot LeFonque
Buckshot LeFonque was een muzikaal nevenproject van Branford Marsalis . De naam Buckshot LeFonque gebruikte jazz saxofonist Julian “Cannonball” Adderley als pseudoniem om contractuele redenen op het album Here Comes Louis Smith (1958). Na het spelen met Sting , Miles Davis en andere muzikanten, richtte Branford Marsalis deze band op om een nieuw geluid te creëren door klassieke jazz met rock- , pop , R & B en hip hop invloeden samen te voegen.
Twee albums werden uitgebracht, Buckshot LeFonque (1994) (waarop voornamelijk tracks voorkomen geproduceerd door DJ Premier) en de opvolger Music Evolution (1997) (waarop voornamelijk Frank McComb te horen is als zanger). Verder speelde Branford Marsalis vaak samen met zijn broer, Delfeayo Marsalis, en de rapper Uptown.
